Christ Packing System's individual & compact packaging solution convinced Aenova
Swiss Caps AG is part of the Aenova Group. At the Kirchberg site in Switzerland, Swiss Caps develops and produces pharmaceutical soft gelatin capsules in particular, including high potent APIs. In the future, the packaging of the capsules was also to take place at the site.
The aim was to fully automatically pack the blisters with the capsules directly at the site. After purchasing a fully automatic cartoning solution, Aenova was looking for an equally fully automatic casepacker solution.
In order to make optimum use of the available space, the company was looking for a compact, flexible machine that could be modified and refitted quickly and easily. As a contract manufacturer, the short-term procurement of format parts, high productivity and economical overall costs were also decisive for Aenova.
The decision was therefore quickly made in favor of the CaseTeq 145 casepacker from Christ Packing Systems. The packaging machine groups the incoming folding cartons and pushes them sideways into a shipping carton. The shipping carton is automatically sealed with adhesive tape and provided with an L-shaped label over corners.
Individual features of the project:
- Sliding doors instead of swing-open doors for optimum use of space, with maximum accessibility
- 7 folding box formats, 3 carton sizes and 2 different carton qualities (for transport by truck and ship) on one machine
- Integration of Track & Trace for QR codes applied to both sides of the folding box and for the L-label on the shipping carton
- IQ/OQ support & PQ support during production
In December, perfectly right on schedule, we performed the successful live FAT for the CaseTeq 145 in Ottobeuren with Swiss Caps/Aenova:
