Successful start into automation with the CaseTeq 100 semi-automatic case packer

Until now, LIVISTO's products were classically packaged by hand. With a desire to increase output and efficiency in the packaging of their products, LIVISTO turned to Christ Packing Systems. And Christ had the ideal solution for a successful start into automated packaging: the semi-automatic CaseTeq 100 casepacker – the specialist for small batches!
The CaseTeq 100 fills shipping cartons with folding boxes from the side. As a semi-automatic casepacker, filling is carried out with automated, as well as manual process steps:
Automated process steps:
- Collecting and grouping incoming products
- Filling of shipping cartons
- Ergonomic intermediate position for label application
- Provision of filled shipping cases with the opening facing upwards
- Automatic completeness and code check
Manual process steps:
- Erecting of empty shipping cases
- Sealing of filled shipping cases with adhesive tape
- Manual application of labels
In the case of LIVISTO, 4 different folding box formats were to be packed on a case packer ready for shipping. The glass vials contained in the folding boxes vary from 10 ml to 250 ml, so they also differ greatly in terms of weight. No problem for the CaseTeq 100, which is flexible enough for such a range of formats!

Christ also found it easy to implement the customer-specific adaptation to the hall layout with a curved belt in the in-feed area. The short format changeover times of 5-10 minutes and the compact dimensions were also convincing. Finally, in December, the successful FAT took place on site in Ottobeuren.
